Who are the engineering and scientific leaders of the 21st century? They will be engineers and scientists reflecting the evolution of our professions. “The Engineer of 2020” report says engineers will have a wide range of complementary, nontechnical skills. Society will need them to address “real problems facing mankind,” including energy, sustainability and health care.

As engineers and scientists, our future leaders will understand the societal impact of their professions, be well-versed in technology and function in global enterprises. They will also motivate people and organizations to improve the quality of life around the world.
