Leadership Training Program
The founding societies believe that it is not sufficient to provide a “traditional” training program. Our professions are called to a higher accountability. Just as social responsibility and environmental stewardship are foundations for our professions, they are also woven into the Emerging Leaders Alliance.
Participants in this program
are selected by the member societies based upon the potential for leadership in
the engineering and scientific community.
Leaders Discussion Board
An online leadership forum has been created that provides resources and discussion boards for current and prior program participants. Prior to attending the 2009 Emerging Leaders Alliance capstone program, attendees must complete a series of learning modules and a social styles questionnaire. To access the modules and questionnaire, visit the Emerging Leaders Online Leadership Forum, and click on “Pre-meeting Resources.” Select the “Capstone Program Web Learning Module Links” folder to access the curricula and the “Social Styles Profile” folder to complete the assessment. (Access is restricted to participants only.)
As a participant or society staff liaison, if you have problems accessing the Emerging Leaders Alliance discussion board, please contact TMS Customer Service at mtgserv@tms.org.
